Geoff Parmer practices civil and criminal litigation, with an emphasis on environmental and business matters, class actions, and false claims act cases.

Geoff attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he served as a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Geoff was a three time regional champion while he was a member of Cumberland’s Association of Trial Lawyers of America and American Bar Association National Mock Trial Teams. He received his Juris Doctor in 1993, and returned to his native city of Tampa to practice law.

Geoff began practicing law in 1993, focusing exclusively in the area of criminal defense. In 1996, after gaining extensive trial experience, he began practicing civil litigation. Over the next six years, Geoff litigated a wide range of class action and other cases in federal and state courts across the country. Geoff joined Bales Weinstein in 2002.

Geoff has authored: "What Erin Brockovich Failed to Tell You About the Realities of Class Action Litigation,” Dispute Resolution Journal (May-July, 2002); “Private Causes of Action for Pollution Damages Pursuant to Section 376.313, Florida Statutes,” The Lawyer (February, 2003); “Attorney-Client Privilege Issues for Environmental Consultants and Executives,” (Florida Chamber of Commerce Environmental Permitting Seminar, February, 2003); “EPA Issues Guidelines and Seeks Information in Response to Supreme Court Ruling,” The Lawyer (March, 2003).

Geoff is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He is admitted to The Florida Bar, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
