Attorney Profile of Linnea E. Thompson

Linnea has been engaged in a broad-based, people-oriented practice of law since 1979. Her law practice is limited to the State of Illinois.

Ms. Thompson has years of experience responding to a variety of client needs.

Ms. Thompson was born and raised in Moline, Illinois.

She received her undergraduate degrees at Black Hawk College, Moline, Illinois and Saint Ambrose College, Davenport, Iowa.

She received her Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, Missouri, where she was a staff member of the Urban Law Annual (Law Review) and served as a Research Assistant to Professor Kathleen F. Brickey.

Ms. Thompson is a former Adjunct Assistant Professor of Business Law at Black Hawk College.
She was inducted into the Black Hawk College Alumni Hall of Fame in 1997.

Ms. Thompson was selected as Volunteer Lawyer of the Year in both 1994 and 1996 by the Rock Island County Bar Association and Prairie State Legal Services in recognition of her outstanding commitment to serving the legal needs of the poor.

Ms. Thompson serves as a certified arbitrator for the 14th Judicial Circuit (Rock Island, Henry, Mercer and Whiteside counties).

Ms. Thompson is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Rock Island County Bar Association. She is currently serving as a member of the Board of Managers of the Rock Island County Bar Association.
