We often receive referrals from other lawyers. Frequently, people are injured in Tennessee while traveling and they retain lawyers at home who often need assistance filing or negotiating a case in our state. We frequently receive referrals from Tennessee-based lawyers as well, particulary when there is a unique situation, a death or critically injured client. As a matter of practice, we always establish a working relationship with referring lawyers which contemplates a reasonable splitting of attorneys' fees that complies with all applicable ethical guidelines. We happily accept referrals for both large and small cases when there is sufficient verdict potential. We also work with lawyers referring cases that arise in other states and involving subject matter in which our office has experience and expertise.
